Tampa Bay Lightning - Hockey
Tampa is home to the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey team. They are members of the National Hockey League who just happened to win the Stanley Cup in the 2003-2004 season. Their home games are played at the St Pete Times Forum in downtown Tampa.
Football
The Tampa Bay area is home for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have a huge following of fans who engulf Raymond James Stadium for games. SuperBowl XLIII was played at Raymond James Stadium on February 1, 2009.
Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (TBPAC)

Florida Strawberry Festival
Plant City hosts the Florida Strawberry festival to the delight of all strawberry lovers. Here one can enjoy every kind of delicacy that can be made with strawberries. The strawberry shortcake is a must and people come for miles around to sample it. Besides the strawberries, there are many kinds of entertainment to experience here.
Bay Area Renaissance Festival
This festival includes live jousting, human chess games, peasants , royalty and faire maidens. Also served up are many dishes including giant turkey legs that are from the Renaissance Era in 16th century Europe.
The pre-invasion celebration kicks of this pirate packed festivity. The Jose Gasparilla comes thru the harbor and docks at the Tampa Convention Center where the pirates take hostages. Parades, street parties, music, entertainment, fireworks and lots of food ensure excitement and fun for everyone.
MacDill Air Base Airfest
The Department of defense presents one of their largest airshows featuring The Thunderbirds performing in their F-16 Fighting Falcons. Also, demonstrations of the F-15 Strike Eagle, fly-bys by the B52 Stratofortress, B-1 lancer Bombers and the KC-135 Stratotanker. This event usually takes place in April.
