Fourth of July Celebration at Channelside -
Friday July 4, 2008
Fireworks will begin at 9pm and can be viewed at many of the venues located at Channelside such as the Florida Aquarium, Tampa convention center and along Bayshore Blvd. Festivities begin at 2pm between the St Pete Times Forum and The Florida Aquarium with live music beginning at 3pm featuring The Sensations until 6:30pm. 93.3FM takes over the music from there.

Hours extended until 9:30pm. Watch the fireworks outside across the channel or take a powered catamaran (extra charge) into the channel for an awesome view of the fireworks. This boat leaves Channelside at 7pm and offers indoor & outdoor seating with food and drinks.

Tampa Bay Lightning - Hockey
Tampa is home to the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey team. They are members of the National Hockey League who just happened to win the Stanley Cup in the 2003-2004 season. Their home games are played at the St Pete Times Forum in downtown Tampa.
Football
The Tampa Bay area is home for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have a huge following of fans who engulf Raymond James Stadium for games. SuperBowl XLIII will be played at Raymond James Stadium on February 1, 2009.
Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (TBPAC)
Tampa is not only known for its sports but for theater and the arts. Many shows from Broadway hits to music concerts are performed at this venue. There is something to suit everyones taste for entertainment here.
Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI)
This museum features over 450 exhibits and an IMAX theatre. The museum is currently promoting Dinosaurs - The exhibition. They also run summer camps for children and have many hands-on exhibits for children and adults alike. There is truely something here for everyone.
